The Staff Selection Commission conducted Stenographer Grade ’C’& ‘D’ Examination, 2010 on 09.01.2011.The written result of the said examination was declared on 25.01.2011. Out of 10654 candidates declared qualified for Skill Test for Stenographer Grade ‘D’, only 6552 candidates appeared in the Skill Test. Out of 2328 candidates declared qualified for Stenographer Grade ’C’, 1300 candidates appeared in the Skill Test.

Application for Scrutiny/Revaluation of answer scripts should be submitted to the Principal of the Polytechnic concerned so as to reach this Office on or before 25/06/2011. Application will not be received directly from the students in this office. Fee for Scrutiny is Rs. 90/- per paper & for Revaluation Rs. 240/- per paper. Fee shall be remitted at the Polytechnic College Office.(The Principals are directed to follow the GO(MS) No. 205/09/H Edn dated 18/11/09 for this purpose). Application format can be downloaded from website www.tekerala.org or obtained from the examination centers. Mark List downloaded from the website can be used for applying Scrutiny/Revaluation.
The Principals can collect the fee for Revaluation/Scrutiny from the students and forward the applications by online to office of JCTE Kaimanam, Thiruvananthapuram through the ‘institution login’ on or before 25/06/2011. Applications forwarded through online only be accepted. Belated applications will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Non-receipt of mark lists, correction of mark list etc., shall be intimated to the undersigned with relevant details. Head of institutions are requested to take appropriate action in this matter.

Instructions
Candidates can either submit their applications online till 5.45 P.M. on 19/06/2011 or through applications obtained from the Commission’s Office/Head Post Offices.

Fees : Rs.130/- (Rs. 100 – Examination Fee + Rs. 30 – Application Fee). The fee should be paid only through Postal Receipt obtained from any one of the Post Offices or Sub-Post Offices. Candidates applying Online should possess and keep ready the Postal Receipt for this amount before start entering the details.

Procedure to apply online:

Read carefully the Instructions / Brochure / Notification-Advertisement before Filling up the Application form.

Click “Apply Online” tab appeared in your right hand side.

Fill-up/Select the relevant particulars asked in the data entry screen carefully.

After confirmation, click “Yes, Generate Online Application Form” button.

An unique application number will be generated. Kindly note it.

Type the application Number and your date of Birth to generate online application form.

Print the generated application forms (2 pages), affix your signature, paste one recent passport size photograph, affix the Postal Receipt towards the Examination Fee and Application Fee in the 2nd page and send it to the Commission’s Office on or before the last date.

Note: Mere data entry of application alone is not an online registration. Online application forms without Signature and photograph will be summarily rejected

Last date: The candidates can register their particulars online and generate printout till 5.45 P.M. on 19/06/2011. They will have to generate the printout of the filled-up application form by clicking ‘YES, Generate Online Application Form’ button, paste one recent passport size photograph, affix the Postal Receipt towards the Examination Fee and Application Fee, affix the signature and send it to the Commission’s Office on or before 21/06/2011 – 5.45 P.M.

Before taking the printout of the Application Form, make sure that both Top and Bottom margins of the print area will have only 3 mm. (This can be adjusted using File->Page Setup option of the browser.).

BSNL Telecom Technical Assistants (TTAs) Application Forms

Bihar Telecom Circle is going to recruit 171 number of Telecom Technical Assistants (TTAs) in the pay scale of Rs. 13600 to 25420 plus allowances per month through an open competitive examination. TTA is an SSA/Telecom District level cadre and examination will be conducted SSA/Telecom District wise on the same day. One applicant is allowed to appear in the examination against vacancy of one SSA/Telecom District only.

Examination fees:

a) Examination fee of Rs. 500/-(Rupees Five hundred) only is payable by the applicants in the form of Demand Draft only addressed to “ A.O. (B&A) ,BSNL, % C.G.M.T. Patna.” Examination fee once paid will be not be refunded.

b) No fee for the applicants of SC & ST categories.

c) Exemption from payment fees is also available to the applicants of PH category. This exemption will, however, be available to only those handicapped persons who would otherwise be eligible for appointment to the post on the basis of the standards of medical fitness prescribed for that post and who enclose with the application necessary certificate from a Government Hospital / Medical board in support of his /her claim for being handicapped.

d) The applicants who have appeared in the examination for TTA recruitment held on 22/11/2009 are exempted from the submission of examination fees on production of details given in the application form

How to apply:
The specimen of the application form is included in this advertisement as Annexure I. Neatly typed [only on one side of paper] copy in A4 size [30 cms. X 20 cms] may be used for making application. Applications complete in all respects should reach AGM (Estt) O/o the Chief General Manager Telecom, Bihar Telecom Circle, Sanchar Sadan, Budh Marg, Patna: 800001 on or before 15/06/2011. BSNL shall not be responsible for any postal delay. The envelope containing the application must be superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT OF TELECOM TECHNICAL ASSISTANT-2008″ in block letters. Three identical copies of recent Passport size Photographs out of which one should be pasted (not stapled or pinned) on the application form, duly attested, and the other two to be pasted on the admit card at the place marked for this (Admit Card in Duplicate) (not to be attested) along with two self addressed unstamped envelopes (size 27 cm X 12 cm) should be enclosed

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection will be based on Written Test followed by interview for the short listed candidates who qualify in the written test. The Written Test will be held at 1) Chennai, 2) Delhi, 3) Hyderabad, 4) Kolkata and 5) Mumbai and will comprise of 200 objective type questions for three hours duration with negative marking for wrong answers. Written test will comprise of two parts; Part-I will have 100 question having questions on General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability and proficiency in English language and Part- II will have 100 questions to adjudge the professional ability of the concerned discipline. Candidates have to qualify both in written test and interview separately to be placed in merit list for selection. The interview will be held at New Delhi.

The candidates are to note that the option of the centre once exercised cannot be changed. However, in the event of not holding the examination in a particular city, due to administrative reasons, the examination center may be allotted in some other city and a candidate will have to appear for the Written Examination at the Centre/ City finally allocated by the Corporation.

Till 1965 India’s borders with Pakistan were manned by the State Armed Police Battallion. Pakistan attacked Sardar Post, Chhar Bet and Beria Bet on 9 April, 1965 in Kutch. This exposed the inadequacy of the State Armed Police to cope with armed aggression due to which the Government of India felt the need for a specialized centrally controlled Border Security Force, which would be armed and trained to man the International Border with Pakistan. As a result of the recommendations of the Committee of Secretaries, the Border Security Force came into existence on 01 Dec 1965, and Shri K F Rustamji was the first chief and founding father. Promote a sense of security among the people living in the border areas. Prevent trans border crimes, unauthorized entry into or exit from the territory of India. Prevent smuggling and any other illegal activity. In the last few years the BSF has, in addition to their duties, been deployed for counter insurgency and internal security duties Holding ground in less threatened sectors. Protection of vital installations. Assistance in control of refugees. Anti-infiltration duties in specified areas. The BSF, in its 41 years of existence, has emerged as an elite force of the country having excelled with distinction in the 1971 war with Pakistan. Its ethos is “Any task, any time, any where” and the BSF has given blood and sweat to execute its motto “Duty Unto Death”. The concept of border fencing, flood lighting and construction of roads has been introduced with the aim to stop infiltration/exfiltration on the Western and Eastern borders. The BSF contributes every year a number of personnel for services for UN Mission in Kosovo and Bosnia. During the Kargil conflict in May-July 1999, the BSF remained on the heights of the mountains and defended the integrity of the country with all the might at its command in unison with the Army. The price of the freedom of our countrymen has been high, sometimes, very high, and you from the BSF have paid it- with your toils, sweat and blood, and your bereaved families have paid it with tears ? for the last forty-four years. In addition to being a veteran of border security, the BSF is a frontline Counter-Insurgency Force, and has contributed to taming virulent insurgencies in different parts of India. Today, the chief business of the BSF is Border Security and Counter-Insurgency and my chief business as your chief is to make you the best in this in the world. I look forward to all senior officers in functional and administrative positions to always be tender in welfare matters, and firm in operational matters. While there is no room for malingerers and cowards in the BSF, room must always be made available for our overworked, overstressed and under-recognized performers. I expect all senior officers in administrative and functional positions to ensure that they respond with equal promptitude to welfare-oriented requests/suggestions from all their subordinates-senior and junior officers, without distinction. It is the least that we can do to ensure that we continue to remain a successful family. We live in the age of technology. As technology becomes more common, criminals and elements hostile to our country use it to further their ends faster. We must incorporate technology at a rate faster than the enemies of public order do. This is a minimal organizational imperative. I request senior officers to come up with plans for the continuous incorporation of the latest technology and developments into our Force in a strategic and tactical manner. Although I am a philosophical man, the realities of life as a law enforcement professional for 36 years have made me a practical leader: I refuse to believe in an ill fate that would fall on us, no matter what we did; I believe in a fate that would befall us, if we did nothing !

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection procedures are as follows:-

(a) The candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews at Bangalore/ Bhopal/Coimbatore between Aug 11 to Nov 11 according to their choice of cadre and their performance in BE/B Tech. Degree. Short-listing of candidates will be done on the basis of the cut off percentage decided by IHQ-MoD (Navy) for each cadre. No communication will be entertained on this account. A candidate not making to the cut-off %age of his 1st choice will be considered for his 2nd choice, provided the candidate meets the cut-off forthat particular cadre.
(b) Conduct of SSB. Stage I test consisting of Officer Intelligence Rating Test(OI&R Test),Picture Perception and Discussion test(PDPT) will be conducted on the first day. Candidatewho fails to qualify in Stage I will be routed back home on the same day. Stage II tests will comprise of Psychological testing, Group Task, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. No compensation will be paid in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests. The duration of SSB will be 05 days Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Special Medical Examination for approximate duration of 05 days at nearest military hospital.
(c) Change of SSB centre is not permissible. Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates is to be addressed to the Call-up Officer of the concerned SSB. Award of fresh dates, would be subject to availability of date and batches at SSB centre.
(d) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training in order of All India Merit depending on the number of vacancies.
(e) Return 2nd Class Sleeper rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for the entry.

Applications are invited from unmarried Men and Women candidates for Short Service Commission in Air Traffic Control Cadre of Executive Branch, of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Jan 2012 at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates are to fulfil condition of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

Age. 19 ½ to 25 years i.e. born between 02 Jan 1987 and 01Jul 1992 (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualifications.

(a) B Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 60% marks

(b) M Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics.with minimum 55% marks

Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence(Navy) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore /Bhopal/ Coimbatore during Aug to Nov 2011.
(b) Stage I test consisting of Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the second day of arrival at SSB. Candidate who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days).
(c) Candidates recomended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training in order of All India Merit depending on the number of vacancies.
(d) Change of SSB venue for interview is not permissible.
(e) Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the President of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter and copy endorsed to Directorate of Manpower Planning & Recruitment (OI & R), Room No. 204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, IHQ-MoD(N), New Delhi-110011. Award of fresh dates for SSB would be subject to availability.
(f ) No compensation will be paid in respect of injury sustained as a result of tests.
(g) Return 2nd Class Sleeper rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for the entry.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) was set up at Bangalore, India, by the Government of India under the Ministry of Defence in 1954 to meet the specialised electronic needs of the Indian defence services. Over the years, it has grown into a multi-product, multi-technology, multi-unit company serving the needs of customers in diverse fields in India and abroad . BEL is among an elite group of public sector undertakings which have been conferred the Navratna status by the Government of India. The growth and diversification of BEL over the years mirrors the advances in the electronics technology, with which BEL has kept pace. Starting with the manufacture of a few communication equipment in 1956, BEL went on to produce Receiving Valves in 1961, Germanium Semiconductors in 1962 and Radio Transmitters for AIR in 1964. In 1966, BEL set up a Radar manufacturing facility for the Army and in-house R&D, which has been nurtured over the years. Manufacture of Transmitting Tubes, Silicon Devices and Integrated Circuits started in 1967. The PCB manufacturing facility was established in 1968. In 1970, manufacture of Black & White TV Picture Tube, X-ray Tube and Microwave Tubes started. The following year, facilities for manufacture of Integrated Circuits and Hybrid Micro Circuits were set up. 1972 saw BEL manufacturing TV Transmitters for Doordarshan. The following year, manufacture of Frigate Radars for the Navy began. Under the government’s policy of decentralization and due to strategic reasons, BEL ventured to set up new Units at various places. The second Unit of BEL was set up at Ghaziabad in 1974 to manufacture Radars and Tropo communication equipment for the Indian Air Force. The third Unit was established at Pune in 1979 to manufacture Image Converter and Image Intensifier Tubes. In 1980, BEL’s first overseas office was set up at New York for procurement of components and materials. In 1981, a manufacturing facility for Magnesium Manganese Dioxide batteries was set up at the Pune Unit. The Space Electronic Division was set up at Bangalore to support the satellite programme in 1982. The same year saw BEL achieve a turnover of Rs.100 crores. In 1983, an ailing Andhra Scientific Company (ASCO) was taken over by BEL as the fourth manufacturing Unit at Machilipatnam. In 1985, the fifth Unit was set up in Chennai for supply of Tank Electronics, with proximity to HVF, Avadi. The sixth Unit was set up at Panchkula the same year to manufacture Military Communication equipment. 1985 also saw BEL manufacturing on a large scale Low Power TV Transmitters and TVROs for the expansion of Doordarshan’s coverage. 1986 witnessed the setting up of the seventh Unit at Kotdwara to manufacture Switching Equipment, the eighth Unit to manufacture TV Glass Shell at Taloja (Navi Mumbai) and the ninth Unit at Hyderabad to manufacture Electronic Warfare Equipment. In 1987, a separate Naval Equipment Division was set up at Bangalore to give greater focus to Naval projects. The first Central Research Laboratory was established at Bangalore in 1988 to focus on futuristic R&D. 1989 saw the manufacture of Telecom Switching and Transmission Systems as also the setting up of the Mass Manufacturing Facility in Bangalore and the manufacture of the first batch of 75,000 Electronic Voting Machines. The agreement for setting up BEL’s first Joint Venture Company, BE DELFT, with M/s Delft of Holland was signed in 1990. Recently this became a subsidiary of BEL with the exit of the foreign partner and has been renamed BEL Optronic Devices Limited. The second Central Research Laboratory was established at Ghaziabad in 1992. The first disinvestment (20%) and listing of the Company’s shares in Bangalore and Mumbai Stock Exchanges took place the same year. BEL Units obtained ISO 9000 certification in 1993-94. The second disinvestment (4.14%) took place in 1994. In 1996, BEL achieved Rs.1,000 crores turnover. In 1997, GE BEL, the Joint Venture Company with M/s GE, USA, was formed. In 1998, BEL set up its second overseas office at Singapore to source components from South East Asia. The year 2000 saw the Bangalore Unit, which had grown very large, being reorganized into Strategic Business Units (SBUs). There are seven SBUs in Bangalore Unit. The same year, BEL shares were listed in the National Stock Exchange. In 2002, BEL became the first defence PSU to get operational Mini Ratna Category I status. Opening date for online submission: 23/03/2011.
Last date for submission of Application : 23/04/2011, up to 5:00 pm.
Last date for payment of Fee at AP Online/SBI : 20/04/2011.

How to apply:
The eligible and interested candidates have to apply through online from the website www.apspsc.gov.in between 23/03/2011 to 23/04/2011. The candidates should follow the user guidelines and instructions at the time of registration of the online application.

Instructions for candidates to apply online:

1. Candidates have to apply through online www.apspsc.gov.in from 23/03/2011 to 23/04/2011.
2. Before apply online, candidate log on to the website and filled the details of the applicant, after that candidates download the challan form and pay the fee at AP Online centers or State Bank of India and obtain Fee paid challan with Journal Number in the first instance
3. After on the next working day candidate should again visit the website and enter the journal number to get the format of application.
4. Candidates have to fill all the columns in the online application and should submit the application.
5. Paste your recent colour passport size photograph on a white paper and sign below the photograph; candidate has sign in black pen.
6. Before applying online, candidate scan the photograph and signature, after that upload the photograph and signature, paste the photograph in the space provided in the application form.
7. Candidates have to consistently fill all the related columns in the application and avoid the mistakes, after that submit the online application.
